Tuning performance group by queries

Hi

I am testing 2 modelisations (One Big Table vs Star Schema) to know which one is suitable and allow the best performance with the select queries execution.
I bet that one big table will be faster but will have a high disk space consumption on the other hand the star schema should be slower but the disk space should reasonnable

I notice that when using a group by query the execution time increase with the amount of data.
I understand that one part of tuning the query is to work on the query itself. But is there any parameters we can change in InfiniDB to increased speed (adding user module, putting queries in cache) Is there a component I can I tune?

Regards

Samy

GROUP BY is a fully distributed operation in Enterprise InfiniDB, so, if you have Enterprise, you can scale out your Performance Modules. Community users can increase performance by adding RAM and/or upgrading CPU's.
