mysqldump fails

Trying to move between infinidb installations, getting a mysqldump failed with error message:

mysqldump: Error 122: There was an internal error encountered in the Calpont Engine while processing this query. The query was cancelled. You may resubmit it if you like. The error came from Primit

Re: mysqldump fails

Hi,

Although you can use mysqldump to dump your InfiniDB tables. There are some command line flags that make this work well (search this forum for "mysqldump").

Examples - --skip-opt --no-autocommit --no-tablespaces --create-options --skip-lock-tables

Note that the mysqdump format does not scale well (there can be lots of extra characters per row) and it does not produce a format that is readily imported by our high-speed bulk loader, cpimport.

You can produce export files suitable for importing directly by cpimport by using the INTO OUTFILE options on a select statement. You may need the FIELDS TERMINATED BY and OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY options as well.

Thanks,

Robert
