Introducing InfiniDB 4.5: Fastest & Most Interoperable Version Yet
Today at the Percona Live: MySQL Conference and Expo in Santa Clara, InfiniDB released the fastest and most interoperable version of its fourth generation columnar data platform. The updates and enhancements are aimed at higher query performance, faster data loading for HDFS, expanding the scope of its Apache Scoop integration and ETL support, and enabling better distributed access for third party tools.
Key features in the standard version 4.5 include:
- Performance Enhancements – InfiniDB's automatic partition elimination is now seamlessly supported across tables and views, resulting in dramatic query time reduction. InfiniDB is also optimized to provide even faster query performance on higher core/thread count processors.
- Expanded ETL support - InfiniDB now supports a fully parallel extract capability, enabling easy ETL operations on data already loaded into InfiniDB.
- New Hadoop capabilities – InfiniDB has the fastest bulk load rate available for HDFS, Sqoop integration with parallel extract for bi-directional data load/unload.
- Improved Administration and Monitoring Capabilities – InfiniDB can be coupled with the upcoming InfiniDB Enterprise Manager to enable unparalleled visibility into system performance, health, query and data load porgress.
