Both theories afterwards became known because of the way information was obtained, and Bachman’s 2016 Turing Award demo was The Programmer as Navigator. A database that is hierarchical. IDMS and Cincom Systems’ COMPLETE database are classified as network databases. IMS stays in use by 2014.
